Destiny's Fate: The Winter Throne is the second novel in The Destiny Theory series. It expands the mythology and elemental conflict introduced in Book One through urban fantasy, divine reincarnation, political tension, sacrifice, and a supernatural winter that should not exist.
The Story
A whiteout descends in the middle of summer, signalling the rise of Skadi, goddess of winter and the hunt. Within her human life is Linnea, a kind and quiet woman whose personality is being divided by the cold power awakening inside her. Destiny must confront a dangerous opponent who is also a person worth saving, while impossible winter spreads across Canada and the cost of resisting the old gods becomes painfully personal.

The Winter Throne explores the conflict between divine identity and human conscience through Destiny, Linnea, and Skadi. Skadi is not a distant fairy-tale queen, but a modern, cold-hearted presence taking control of a fractured human life. As Toronto freezes beneath an unnatural moonlit winter, Destiny must decide whether defeating Skadi means destroying Linnea or finding a way to separate two identities that may no longer be willing to survive apart.
Behind the Story
I wanted the second book to challenge the simple idea that the person carrying a dangerous power must also be the villain. Linnea and Skadi allowed me to explore sacrifice, compassion, divided identity, and the painful distance between what someone is capable of doing and who they choose to be.
