About the Book

Endgame is the seventh and final novel in The Shards series. Time itself is at stake as the Shard-verse and Cera's original Earth reach a breaking point that will not allow both Cera and Zora to continue existing in the same form.

The Story

Every choice delayed in The Long Night and clarified on Calliope comes due. The two worlds cannot continue along the path created by the shard engine, and only one of Cera or Zora can survive the final crossing. The conflict becomes both destruction and creation: one reality shatters while another is deliberately rebuilt. The survivor returns to 2026 Earth carrying the memory and absence of the one who did not make it, only to discover a world that is familiar but subtly gentler, quieter, and changed by everything they endured.

More of the Story

Endgame closes the loop begun with the revelation that Cera was never meant to exist in the Shard-verse. The ending brings together time, memory, sacrifice, motherhood, identity, and the possibility of creating something better from catastrophe. The final answer to who survives remains part of the novel itself rather than its public description.

Behind the Story

The series needed an ending where the cost was real and the hope was earned. Endgame is about what remains after a person gives everything, how one life can carry another forward, and whether a broken universe can be remade without pretending nothing was lost.

Book Summary

Endgame concludes The Shards with the destruction of one future and the birth of another. Only one of Cera or Zora can return to Earth, and whoever survives must carry the full weight of the other into a world quietly changed by them both.
