Coming April 2027
Before Lyra knew the truth, another sister carried it.
About the Book
The Secret Sister is the fourth novel in The Lightkeepers series. Moving deeper into the history of Willows Rise, it explores an earlier generation, a hidden child, and the choices that shaped the family mystery Lyra inherits decades later.
The Story
In the early 1980s, Willows Rise appears peaceful beneath the morning light, but the camp grounds hold a secret that cannot remain buried. A woman arrives carrying a baby's blanket and a history tied to the lake, the camp, and a sister whose existence was never meant to be known. As past and present begin to connect, the origins of the Lightkeepers' family mystery take on a new and more personal meaning.
More of the Story
The novel expands the series beyond Lyra's immediate point of view and examines how secrecy travels through families. Its story connects camp history, motherhood, identity, adoption, and the consequences of choices made under fear. Familiar locations take on new meaning as readers see Willows Rise before the events of the earlier books.
Behind the Story
After revealing parts of Lyra's family history, I wanted to step backward and allow the people who came before her to become more than names in someone else's mystery. The Secret Sister gives that hidden history its own voice and explores why families sometimes bury the very truths that might have set them free.
Book Summary
The Secret Sister uncovers an earlier chapter of Willows Rise and the family whose secrets shaped The Lightkeepers. It is a story of sisters, silence, and a child whose existence changes the meaning of everything that follows.
