The Shards · Book Six
Coming 2030
At the final threshold, every hidden truth becomes a choice.
About the Book
Calliope is the sixth novel in The Shards series and the final calm before Endgame. Set on a new world of crystalline highlands and ancient ringed archways, it brings Cera and Zora to a place defined by clarity rather than concealment.
The Story
Cera has moved beyond the raw survival instincts that defined her years in Carth. She is more composed, more self-aware, and finally prepared to face what she may lose. On Calliope, the remaining pieces of the conflict fall into place: the true nature of the shard engine, its connection to the Persephone Project, the purpose of the Ghostline entity, and the final alignment of every human and alien faction. Cera and Zora have one last chance to speak honestly before the coming confrontation turns knowledge into sacrifice.
More of the Story
Calliope mirrors the intimacy of The Long Night but exchanges dread for clear-eyed resolve. Conversations matter as much as battles, and the quiet moments give the characters one final breath before the ending. By the close, the mysteries that protected them from the truth are gone, and every faction has chosen where it will stand.
Behind the Story
Before asking the characters to pay the final cost, I wanted to give them a world where they could understand the full shape of their journey. Calliope is about earned quiet, acceptance, and the courage required to step forward when no comforting mystery remains.
Book Summary
Calliope gathers every surviving thread of The Shards into one final threshold. Cera and Zora now know what the shard engine is, what the Ghostline wants, and what Endgame will demand from them.
